last day of fake pre-summer

http://glencadia.com/videos/08april26/

That's the folder in case of broken links.

The ducks can swim now. Quite big.

This is old. Most of these guys are home already.

Here we have most of them (Bailey, Bonnie, Gracie, Django, Nora, Simon, Apple...) out and about.

More of them (above). When the field is planted, we'll have to stay out for a few months.

Sweet old Beany.

More Beany.

Here I tired to introduce Natasha to Django and while she didn't seem to mind the muzzle before Django showed up, after he got in, she tried to take it off... so Django needed to go out of there!

Chickens are still small. They are suppose to lay green and blue eggs. No joke.

video by video entry as promised

Remember to reload (page refresh or hit the back and then the forward button in your browser) if you don't see the video the first time. That works for me sometimes. And if you can't see quicktime, let me know.

We start out the morning with Willy and Freya running around and me watching two kids, Jim in the barn and my son wants to go to canoeing and I want to take care of the dogs. I try to do all this at once, but as you will see, it doesn't really pan out.

So here we start. Willy and Freya are around here somewhere. Strawberries, kids....

Then Ollie catches Willy and drags him around on a leash for no good reason. Willy seems to roll with the punches.

Now Ollie is getting the dogs all riled up and Bentley and Jasper have joined the chase and Freya finally decides to make a cameo.

Way off in the distance, you might see those four dogs or maybe Ollie. Certainly my very long early morning shadow. Oh and geese getting a rude awakening. Swimming.

Simon eats alone then I thought maybe I could canoe with just Simon and my dogs and Ollie but even that didn't seem to pan out. More of Simon. More and the canoe and Ollie and a lot of mud.

More kids, more mud. One dog.

Daughter Lotta looking cute, more of the same, still no canoeing.

Quick canoe with Ollie and a panoramic view of the pond (which runs big but not deep) and me giving Ollie a taste of the kind of thing I heard as a member of the Koloa Canoe club when I lived on Kauai, Hawaii.

Hay bales. I was hoping for dogs running in and out of the bales, creating a nice static-motion contrast, but they wouldn't do it right. Dogs: Duke (AKA Uncle Charly, who is available for adoption, Adelaine, Princess, Gracie, Luna and Loona.

Same group with nice close ups of Duke. Come on! Someone should find this guy a home! He's a great dog! You have to know someone.

Next up (on deck and out the door): Ming, Bonnie, Hazel, Norman, and Duke and maybe someone else. Fast fly by. These guys move pretty fast. Ming is a little mellower.

Another group. Sajj, Elton, Nora. Bean field. They don't plant this sucker until July for some reason. I mean, I know they want a late crop but they could get two crops of string beans on this one. Their business.

Wellington in the yard, looking for people, ignoring horses.

More of Wellington playing and hanging out.

Moki snapped the leash and ran, against doctor's orders. Betty Lou comes by. Moki only limps when he walks. He can run fine. Here.

Dog yard. All of them, pretty much.

quick note

The videos are taken, converted and are uploading now. They are at:

http://glencadia.com/videos/08april20/

I will go through them one by one later. There are a lot and I guarantee everyone's dog is in there for a long time. I got a "memory card full" error on my camera, which I never did before.

Okay, see you later.

catching up

First of all, I live in Stuyvesant Falls, New York. This is why it's called "Falls."

Simon is eating fine, not slow, as you will see tomorrow in the videos. Willy took awhile to warm up to me but I'll put him and Freya up swimming tomorrow. They stay close by and are fine off leash. Jasper and Bently also got cheated out of a swim, which I will correct tomorrow. Bentley is good now, not nervous either.

That will be in tomorrow's blog. Today's blog is about Hillary and Barack. Just kidding.

Anyway, all the dogs that got cheated will get blogged tomorrow.

Jim went to the city to pick up a dog today: special pick up $170. YIKES. Well, we do that. Ain't cheap.

Here I am in upstate New York. Four years ago I was a freelance graphic designer dressed in black, dragging around a portfolio, sitting at a computer and going to meetings in midtown. Now, my hands are so rough and my fingers so beat up and calloused I can't put my wedding ring on. I'm stronger, probably healthier, but fatter, have a farmer's tan and come in from the barn for breakfast. I'm happy about it, but I found myself looking at myself in the mirror and picturing this leathered, old man I would turn into, grey and weathered, hair growing out of my ears. Wait, the hair is already growing out of my ears. And my grandfather had the same and he never did a lick of real work in his life: he was a foreign correspondent, covered the Spanish Civil war for UPI in the 1930s. I remember starring into his ears when I was a boy, maybe 11, and being completely disgusted. Then it dawned on me that I would get the same when I was old. And here I am, and here it is. "Hey," he said, "what the hell are you looking at?" End of story. My grandfather here and here and and here and here and here and on and on.

swim, some strange tape Ollie found, Gracie doesn't want to canoe... the story line for today

First, before I get to the narrative, let me mention the dogs not videoed. Moki is on bed rest. Betty Lou is keeping him company. Norman couldn't come out when Wellington was wandering around because Wellington hates him. I owe Norman a walk, and some more ball play in the water, which he likes.

Okay, now here's the main folder in case a link doesn't work or something:

http://glencadia.com/videos/08april18/

Also try hitting refresh if you don't get it the first time. And let me know if you have trouble with quicktime files.

Here is Ollie with his lullaby tape. Sitting by the tree as I head out to the dogs. No dogs in either of these. Here he tries to mix German in there...

Nora Sagg Ming and Bonnie -- out the door.

More of those guys. Yet more.

Pond, same group.

More, can you believe.

New group. Princess, Hazel, Adelaine, Elton. Go!

Same group running free.

At the pond (same). Sense of pond with fade in...

Dogs bothering Ollie.

Wellington and Gracie. Jim working on stuff, Ollie playing with a saw and some wood.

Same as above.

Natasha (barking), Jasper and Bentley rough housing, most all the other dogs too. (Jasper and Bently are not ready to go running off leash yet.) General yard activity.

Willy, Freya and Luna here and here.

After 9258 in the main folder, we go canoeing, Gracie says no thanks, we get some ducks, see some horses, feed some chicken babies and so on. You can look around at those if you want to... they're really for my mother.

write up from yesterday: watch the goose video

What great weather. Should get out to the barn. Now, I will go through the videos from yesterday one by one but they are in the folder linked from the last entry, plus some that I'm uploading now.

This is old. A lot of these guys are home.

This is how ollie sends email. No dogs.

Lula going crazy.

More of Lula not swimming.

Ming, Adelaine, Clarence, Gracie, Duke (aka Uncle Charly available for adoption), Scout, and few more. Here.

Same group here. Looking for a good spot to swim.

Swimming, then a goose meanders, saunters, eases, strolls, paddles, casually passes by and NO DOG BARKS at him. Most don't even notice! PATHETIC!

Same group. More running.

Norman and Nora. Here. Woods.

The whole bunch back home. Here.

Jasper and hay bale. Hard to film and hold a leash and he is definitely thinking about running away.

Same as above. Still hard to make video.

Ming, Betty Lou wants to go back to Jasper. Love?

Gracie. Small but casts a long shadow. Everyone else too.

My little girl looked particularly cute in orange.

Still orange. Still cute.

My horses. Hungry.

Children carrying ducks to the pond.

Almost there. Don't drop the duck!

Yes, they swim!

Back to dogs in the evening. All.

Jasper joins the group. Yikes, he's looking for trouble,

So far so good.

More kids.

The end.

warmer in here than in the city

Pretty rare but true at this moment. We're sunny and downstate has clouds.

While I make some space on my hard drive to finish download videos, I'll write up some reports. I have two days of videos and I have to convert them so it takes awhile.

KIMA: She's funny. Nervous at first, which is normal enough, she started to act like she really liked me. Today she wouldn't come to me again so I had to bride her to get her leash on and go for a walk. Moody.

I will post videos of her going for a walk. On the leash. If I trust the dogs offleash, they get in videos out and about. On the leash its kind of hard to record video. You'll see when I add the video links.

BILL: He comes very well when he's called. If you have good treats. Works great. His person is in Israel meeting the Prime Minister and Abu Mazen and trying to sort that situation out. Bill is just a big gulump. I should like to the blog about the trip... and I will.

CLEO: Some dogs don't like her. Can't imagine why. My dog is completely in love. I think it's maybe a love triangle anyway. Otherwise, she's having a ball.

JASPER: I put him him a limited selection of dogs even though he seemed fine with everyone except my dog. He likes Betty Lou and they were wrestling over this toy lobster for a long time.

Everyone else is fine. I want to take them swimming later today, so do check back.

NEWS FLASH: VIDEOS are in this folder. I will break down and describe each one soon.

some off lease, some not trusted

http://glencadia.com/videos/08april05

Only two videos today and almost all are in both.... thanks. Blogger doesn't let me upload right into the page lately and I don't know why....

the frogs came out april 1 this year

The frogs come out all at once. From quiet to loud in a few minutes. It's dramatic and a definitive, single marker of spring. This year it was April 1, for the record. Frogs! They do go back to sleep... it's cold now and I don't here anything.

Here is the folder where all the videos for yesterday are.

We got ducks. But first dogs. More dogs.

More ducks. Keeping the ducks in the shower was a bad idea. Stank! Here they are now.

Baby girl.

100 entries

For the record, this is the 100th entry on this blog.

Sunny oddly cold day. Blogger won't let me upload video to the blog directly today. It's pretty temperamental that way. I saved many forms of the video, lower and higher res, still didn't take.

I meant to get video of everyone out for a toot but then Ollie came by and I got him with the dogs instead.

Don't forget: 2 dogs for adoption, Natasha and Duke (AKA Uncle Charley).

This is the folder for all the videos.

http://glencadia.com/videos/08march29/

Ramsey is 14 and healthy... remarkable. And he's a breed (I kind of thought mutts had a better chance). Here he is getting a little something special because he didn't eat much this morning.

Here is the whole group more or less.

Natasha with come company (finally). Here.

Opening the door and letting them all out.

Forgot to let Betty Lou out after she ate... I think she should eat alone! Here she is joining the group again.

This is my son Ollie coming out as I was looking for Ramsey.

Ollie went in with the dogs... Jello, Maggie Lou, Teddy, Gila... some others.

More of an outnumbered boy with dogs... he gets his thumb chomped trying to get a ball out of the mouth.

spring? listen to the wind in these videos

We got a big group in here now but everyone is pretty good. I might opine more later but let's get to the videos.

But first a dog barely in here: Pipi. He was a little nervous about me this morning when I made the videos and didn't want to follow me on a walk. He's much better now -- I was just out there rotating groups, letting the little ones have the big yard for a few hours before dark -- and he's settled in.

Here is the folder: http://glencadia.com/videos/08march21/

My dog is always wrecking stuff. And humping everyone. I guess he's adolsecent now. And Betty Lou in here too. And talking about food.

Group one: Duece, Ramsey (14! years old!). Uncle Charly/Duke (available for adoption)!, Bonnie, Sally: here.

Notice how Butch, my little one, tries to keep them all in? He learned that from my dog Pipi who dies last fall. The tradition of harassing the guest remains as her legacy. Man, that was the best dog. We all love our dogs and all but in sheer usefulness and hard work and effectiveness, no dog can compare to Pipi, and I would know. She was one in 600 (which I have had here). No dog does what she did: herding, watch dog, protector. She was worth her weight in gold.

Back to business. More of Group one (as above) here.

Archie is doing a lot of barking (off camera) because he's by himself, poor guy. I put him with soneone when walks were over and he cheered up.

Here is Group one and again, with Gustov up to no good.

And more of same group inspecting the trash my neighbor dumps in the woods. Here. More of them again here.

Little ones here (Gali, Sawyer, Teddy, AndyWalter, Freya). Why Freya as a small dog? Because she jumped over the fence and came with us. Only dog that can jump the fence (for awhile anyway). Little dogs here and here.

Group 3: Sugar, Maddox, Sophie, Otis, Ruby, Edith. Here and here. In another field here. That's a really nice long one.

Many brown labs fighting over a stick here.

Stick war #2 here.

Group 4: Bear, Elton and Moose. Now they are on the old empty gourd field. Makes a nice crunchy sound.

Bear playing chase with me. Here.

Archie here.

Jack and Jello -- now I trust Jack off the leash. Took me a little while. Here. Jello? Here.

Lela.

Misui has turned into a wild animal. He does come inside but runs out again as soon as he sees me. He's sure he doesn't want to be closed up inside when he can be out, I think.

Here are all dogs including Mussi.

Pipi and small dogs... Pipi cheared up this afternoon and we'll work on some better videos of him tomorrow.

Thursday, March 20, 2008

video by video

Bear, Freya, Edith, Sophie, Princess, Otis and Jello here and, everyone out, here. Same again here. Otis pops my knee. Butch keeps Freya out of food closet. Gustov likes Jello...

Same bunch in the woods here.

Lulu Elton Bear Uncle Charly and Ruby here and here. One more here.

Gali and AndyWalter (spoiled?). Here. Jim spoils his own dogs, so he shouldn't talk.

Same little guys. Here. Jim says bye and goes home, dogs roll in manure. Sorry about that.

Jack, Lulu, Musui, everyone. Here.

Last one: Meeting. Ruby discusses. Jack opines. Good enough. Here.

okay, a little late

Better late than never!

Here is the folder with all the movies.

More descriptions and so on to come!

black birds, an ancient hook, a ground hog, and a flock of geese

Here is a flock of black birds screeching as they pass on a grey, drizzling, colorless early spring day. Hitchcockian.Ominous.

Here is an ancient hook swaying on an antique rope in a dark barn.

Jeeze, what is this? Halloween?

Okay, how about some dogs now?

Here is the general yard shot.

Here are the Wiemerieners. More of these two to come.

A toot: Princess, Edith, Freya, Sophie, Lulu, Matilda. Geese flying over, running in and out of hay bales... here and here.

Jack, AndyWalter, Theo. Here. And here.

Here the dogs find a live ground hog residence. Or a fox. I suspect ground hog. They get pretty excited.

More Weimerieners here.

What is this one actually? Here.

Enough dogs. How about a snowman? Here.

Or a cow.

Or a baby.

Or all of that.

Friday, March 14, 2008

very quick and I'm out... more to come

I have to go out but I will work on this blog later... thanks.

But here is one video with everyone for today.

For more.

2 cats, many dogs

So a reminder: Natasha and Duke (in videos here) are for adoption if you know anyone.

Here are Duke, Gustov and Butch hanging around the yard. Butch (the little one) is the ring leader, sending the group out after a rabbit, cat or horse, depending on what moves.

Here are the cats. Wait, why cats in the dog blog? Stick with the video and you will see the food closet, the dogs inside, outside, fetch, no fetch, etc. A long one: 2 and a half minutes!

Imagine being a cat living in a barn with up to 50 dogs.

More of everyone in the yard. Here.

This is Natasha. Here. She could be yours.

Letting the dogs out. Here.

Those little dots are your dogs. Just wait. Here.

spring

Don't forget our dogs for adoption. Here. We've got more of wonderful Duke here. I like him, I tell you, nice dog.

To see all the movies, go here.

This is the video of the yard with Bill wrestling and all the others of course.

Maddox, Finn, Misui and someone else out for a toot. Here.

Some notes on our current residents first: Luna still hates me. Well, she at least doesn't like me. She doesn't, apparently like men in general, but that is hardly an excuse. I have to get Ollie, my son, who she likes just fine, to take her out for a photo shoot this morning (no school) so her people can see her not looking scared, which she does when I'm around. Although she's getting better.

Misui: I didn't trust him because he's a husky but his owner swore I could let him off the leash. As you can see in the videos below I did. What you can't see is that he proceeded to run off down the driveway and disappear. I put everyone else away, jumped in the car, headed to the road, called him. I heard some ice cracking on the pond and thought he might be out there. No luck. I stood around trying to decide what to do next when he appeared in the middle of the road only a few feet from me. I don't know how he did that. He was as happy to jump in the car and as happy to join the other dogs as he had been to run off.

I think roaming a mile or two is not running off to a husky. I think they have a bigger range mapped onto their heads than most dogs and that they don't mean to run off, just establish a range suitable to their aspirations. Unfortunately for their aspirations, their brain-map includes a range with streets, cars, neighbors, horses, cows, tractors, chickens and other stuff that they are not allowed to inspect.

Breed discrimination confirmed. No more huskies off leash. There is another dog camp that I saw online that doesn't take huskies. That's for fighting I think. That hasn't been a problem for me.

You know, I never read a book about dogs. I keep getting books for Christmas and birthday and so on... but the last thing I want to read about, frankly, is a dog. And the books are either 1) about dog behavior, kind of assuming you have to deal with them one or two at at time (not 20), or 2) about the dog business. The dog business books tell me I can't do stuff I want to do (leave them together or pick them up in the car with the others and expect them to behave) or talk about a lot of things I'm not interested in (bleach, concrete, etc.). I'm doing it all wrong. I can't do what I do. So I solve the problem by not reading!

But honestly, no one seems to do what I do, at least locally (free pick up and all that). Or do they? Anyway, there are 1.5 million dogs in my pick up area and I can handle a maximum of 50 so I think I will survive the coming long and awful depression. Keep on traveling folks!

And then if the dog thing doesn't work out, there is always... what's a good business to be in during a depression? Portfollio manager? Dairy farmer? I know: mailman.

And anyway, when it comes to pack management, their is no substitute for experience. I made a lot of mistakes over the years. I will definitely make some more. But I'm better. I haven't figured out how to train someone else, which would be the next step.

But I don't really know anything. My instincts are better. And I know most of the dogs.

And I still have 10 fingers.

Okay, more on the dogs here. Duke is still for adoption. He's a real winner. I like him a lot.

Betty Lou: she's not crazy about me either. We're getting better and I'm going to try some chicken on her this morning. We'll see if that finally makes her my friend.

Maggie Blue: She repeatedly dropped her tennis ball in the hole between the wood and the chain link fence and could not get it out. So she tried to eat the offending wire. I think wire should go nicely with that sock she ate the other day. The four basic Maggie food groups: socks, wire, drywall, and plywood. She's a healthy girl.

Bill: I'm worried he'll turn nice play into a fight. But he's having a ball wrestling with Gustov, I just have to let them go. The more they do it, the less likely it'll go bad... and they're having a ball.

All fine: Finn, Daisy, Maddox... good moods. Because it's srping. Unless it's me in a good mood imagining they are.

So Spring. It's early Spring, but it's Spring. For the first time I can remember, certainly since we've lived up here, I will miss something of winter. I think it's that I've been taking pictures and thinking about taking pictures in the winter and it is DYNAMITE for that. I mean winter. It looks great. The red barn look tremendous when there is no other real color around. And people look good in the winter, they stand out of the landscape. And sound: no birds. No bugs. Austere and only occasionally harsh.

But Spring is better. Ollie was not convinced by my color and sound argument. Here.

dogs for adoption: two available

Here is Duke. He was the dog or an acquaintance of a camp customer. He's 10 but looks and acts younger, no health problems. I know him well now: he's living here until we figure out his next move. Beautiful coat. Well-trained. His family moved abroad and didn't take him. Lovely dog. Nervous for a day or two but settled in nicely. Plays well with other dogs. His looks are his strong suit. He's sort of a shepherd type but his fur is softer and fuller than a German shepherd.

Look here to see him in action. Here he is again with some friends (all still here!).

He's a real winner. Fixed, shots. I like him but I have two dogs of my own already. I can bring him to the city if you want to meet him. I might find him someone up here too, so he gets more time in the country. But no one has taken him yet. Email me.

Next dog: Natasha. Here's another one of her.

Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier Age: Around Two Years
Sex: Female - Spay
A 40 lb bundle of love, Natasha will return the affections of her owner many fold. She loves to play, climb in your lap, and get scratches and rubs.

NATASHA A real love bug!

Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier Age: Around Two Years
Sex: Female - Spayed

Natasha is a 40 lb bundle of love who will return the affections of her owner many fold. She loves to play, climb in your lap, and get scratches and rubs. A very pretty blonde with a pink nose and muzzle and amber eyes, Natasha was adopted from the New York ASPCA two months ago. She came into a home with an older, larger dog, with whom she gets along very well. However, she distrusts and is jealous of other dogs, and her behavior shows it.
Natasha is a bright young lady who has already learned to sit (most of the time!). She is a spunky, playful, and energetic companion who loves to play fetch and play with her toys. She is healthy, fully vaccinated, and house trained if walked sufficiently. Her present owner already loves her but has found having two dogs too much to handle. To find out more, call Kim at 917 - 441- 7166.

first post in march

Here is the folder with today's videos and stuff. More details and stuff coming. And I have TWO DOGS for ADOPTION about which I will post in a bit.

ice skating again, maybe last time?

This is the second blog entry of the day. Scroll down.

Princess (no tail) was a pretty good sled dog but didn't seem to like it. So I tried Boon and Princess (brooklyn).

Results of all this dog sleding below.

Here is Princess 1's first attempt.

This one is weeeeee!

No she doesn't seem to like it. Here.

So we'll just skate here. Watch out for dogs!

Last try for this dog. Here.

Actually, it kind of works better with dogs on the side. Here.

Try some new dogs. Boon and other Princess. Here.

Try again. Here.

Last one: no sled. Brooklyn Princess pulls Ollie on skates. That's the way to travel!

perfect day

Scroll down and consider the dog for adoption below. Check out the skating video, which will not be available until noon EST. Schedule for dog pick up coming soon.

The full moon and eclipse were great. What a clear, beautiful night. The other day I went out to the wood shed at night, must have been a week ago, and got a load of wood, picking up some logs, when I heard, "Grrrrr..."

It was low. Kind of deep. The way it resonated, it was something bigger than a dog, or about that size.

You know what it was? No? Me either. I dropped the wood and high-tailed it back to the house and turned on the oil-furnace for the night. I don't like to send my money to Hugo Chavez or the King of Saudi Arabia to the extent I can avoid it but I also don't want to mess with some large-growling creature hiding somewhere in the wood pile.

I mean, it took 60 million years to make that oil but I only have two hands and need both of them. I picked the lesser of two evils.

Anyway, the moon. With the moon last night, I could confidently go out in the middle of the night and get some wood. It was like day, in Sweden in the winter anyway, with strong moon shadows and clear light.

And now today the birds are chirping, the sun is shining. The ice is still solid. The dogs are all in a good mood and have figured each other out and are down with the system, everything is going smoothly. The baby is sleeping in her crib now, my son seems to like math. A German magazine just bought a domain I registered in 1997 (and paid $15 a year since) for $5000.

Yikes, I'm about to jinx something.

John McCain can't keep his girlfriends out of the NYT. See, Barack can keep things quiet. He'd better, Michelle seems like a tough cookie. And they say he doesn't have experience! McCain is an amateur compaired to Barack. If he can't manage his extra-marital affairs, how can he deal with Iran?

On to the dogs.

Cedar, Boon, Daisy and Molly went skating. Here.

Bear didn't come... jumped in a car and sat there until we got back. Princess (1 and 2), Moki, Petra, Fletcher... anyone else? Here.

Here is old Dusty with the horses. Hear the birds?

Malachi: he goes for a walk every day and I might let him in general cirrculation... or not. We'll see. And he's a little skinny these days, maybe staying outside so much, as he likes to do, so he get's extra breakfast. Here.

dog for adoption

This is the second entry of the day. Scroll down. But this looks like a cute dog. Here is what Michaela said:

"The dog in this photo is a 10 year old shepherd mix, being given up by his family because they are moving and can't take him. Poor guy...... I am going to meet him this week and if he and Remy get along, he will stay with us until a new forever home can be found. I am working with Posh Pets rescue group in NYC to find him a new home. As you can imagine, he would not last long in a shelter. According to his owner, he is a great dog, friendly and stays in his crate while they work; can wait 10 or so hours to go out. He was also evaluated by a rescue group and they, too, said he is very sweet. If you know anyone who might be interested, please have them email me. I'd love to find a permanent home for this dog very soon! Thanks."

Nice dog, seems like. Email me if you know anyone who might want him. GLENCADIA.COM

birds here, looking for spots already, even if there isn't much to eat

Today's story lines: Chachi (in the small dogs group) and Boon (in the big dogs) seemed out of sorts, kind of down or something. Chachi didn't leap off her bed and make it to the door first in the morning. She went back to bed. And Boon didn't follow me around like usual. So I decided those two need a little extra attention and they are now next to the house and spent a lot of time with people this morning...

Everyone else seemed fine. And both of my special cases seem to like things as they are now... they needed a break from the pack for awhile maybe.

Here are most or maybe all of the big dogs. Lulu was in a particularly good mood. Fletcher was up for some fetch. Then I wander in the house to check on Boon (and see above...)

More inside, big dogs. Here.

Now little dogs. Here. Jasper has to protect his little charge. Birds are back, even if there is nothing to eat yet.

Here's a good video:

Now Chachi and Boon and Dusty. Gustov takes Boon for a walk. Pretty funny, you should see this. Also, horses, lay of the property, my son banging on the window saying "Wolf!" meaning Boon looked like a wolf to him. Dusty is 15, blind and deaf. But he's doing great this week. Amazing.

And here are the laggards enjoying the sun, birds, and barking at the horses.

That's it for dogs. Now here are my kids. We let Ollie watch movies, but only these old Swedish versions of Astrud Lingrid stories dubbed into German. They are slow, long shots, quiet and in German. So much better that this trash Hollywood churns out. I could go on with the poison they dump on us but I will spare you. Anyway, Ollie likes to get Lotta to enjoy the movies with him, some company. And here they are again.
